Basketball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Thurston Colts, falling 59-38. The Grizzlies were not able to make up for their loss to the Colts from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Thurston, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-9.

Ashland will face off against Crater at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Crater's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. As for Thurston, they will square off against North Eugene at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thurston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
