Softball Game Preview: Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers vs. Copley Indians

The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Copley Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Cuyahoga Falls will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

On Friday, Cuyahoga Falls didn't have quite enough to beat Coventry and fell 13-12. Even though they lost, the Black Tigers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Madi Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Ireland Mills also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Copley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-4 to Tallmadge.

Cuyahoga Falls has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Copley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Cuyahoga Falls suffered a grim 16-2 defeat to Copley when the teams last played last Wednesday. Can the Black Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
