Volleyball Game Preview: Bell Gardens Lancers vs. Rancho Cucamonga Cougars

After both having extra time off, the Bell Gardens Lancers and the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Cucamonga took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bell Gardens, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Bell Gardens made easy work of Schurr and carried off a 3-0 win. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Bell Gardens' got stronger as the match went on, holding Schurr to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga lost 3-0 to Upland on Wednesday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Rancho Cucamonga was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Upland's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.

Rancho Cucamonga's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Bell Gardens, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-14.
