Basketball Recap: Sheldon Has No Trouble Against George-Little Rock

Sheldon lost to George-Little Rock back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Sheldon Orabs were the clear victor by a 55-31 margin over the George-Little Rock Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Orabs have posted against the Mustangs since January 22, 2021.

Sheldon's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for George-Little Rock, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Sheldon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Okoboji at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Okoboji knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Sheldon likes a good challenge. As for George-Little Rock, they and Gehlen Catholic will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
