Volleyball Recap: Andrew Jackson Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

It was a good run, but Andrew Jackson Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Cross Stingrays. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Stingrays earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Despite the loss, Andrew Jackson Academy still got an impressive performance from McKinnley Beard, who had 19 kills, eight digs, five blocks, and five aces. Beard is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Bella Carrigg was another key player, getting 32 assists and three digs.

Andrew Jackson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 26-8. As for Cross, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
