Summit found a leader in Sam Eldredge as the team took down Rifle on Saturday. Eldredge wasn't messing around, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. The pitching appearance was his seventh straight with five or more strikeouts.

Eldredge's strong effort led Summit over Rifle and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long.
