Football Recap: Colby Comes Up Short

Colby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 42-12 defeat at the hands of the Spencer/Columbus Rockets. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Hornets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Colby's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Spencer/Columbus, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Colby is set to square off against their familiar foe Weyauwega-Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Spencer/Columbus will take on rival Marathon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
