Softball Recap: South Summit Find Success

South Summit lost to Juab back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The South Summit Wildcats came out on top against the Juab Wasps by a score of 8-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 7, 2022, but that streak is no more.

South Summit let Emma Broadbent and Malia Olson run wild. Broadbent went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Olson scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Olson posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Adeline Aste also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The win got South Summit back to even at 3-3. As for Juab, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, South Summit will venture away from home to challenge Kanab at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Juab, they will welcome Millard at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
