Volleyball Recap: Shoshone Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Shoshone kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Wendell Trojans. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Shoshone was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-12.

Wendell now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Shoshone will challenge Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Wendell and Aberdeen will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on September 4. The game will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
