Softball Recap: Creek Wood Red Hawks vs. Fairview Yellowjackets        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Creek Wood gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Fairview Yellowjackets with a sharp  16-3 win. Creek Wood's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Elizabeth Martin made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   three  hits. Martin has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Martin was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs and six  RBI while going 4-for-5.
 In other batting news, Creek Wood got a  massive  performance out of  Laila Downs-Darden, who  went 3-for-5 with six  RBI, three  runs,  and a  double.  Kendal Bryant was another key contributor,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 On Fairview's side,  Anna Marie Brown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Creek Wood pushed their record up to 19-6 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  on the road. As for Fairview, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost three of their last four matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record  this season.
 Creek Wood will head out on the road to  square off against  Camden Central at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Fairview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hickman County at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
