Softball Recap: Mesa Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Mesa unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the San Luis Sidewinders on Wednesday, falling 14-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Mesa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Isom, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesa will face off against Maryvale at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for San Luis, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Lake Havasu at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
