Baseball Recap: Pelahatchie Comes Up Short

Pelahatchie managed to slip by Mendenhall the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chiefs lost 11-1 to the Tigers on Friday. The Chiefs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Pelahatchie's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Mendenhall, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mendenhall beat Pelahatchie by a score of 12-1 later that day.
