Soccer Game Preview: Chippewa Valley vs. Anchor Bay

Chippewa Valley hasn't had much luck against Anchor Bay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Big Reds will head out on the road to face off against the Tars at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Chippewa Valley's last contest might've seen eight goals scored, but the final result was still a bit underwhelming. They and Lakeview finished up on equal footing with a 4-4 draw on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anchor Bay). Everything went their way against Port Huron Northern on Wednesday as they made off with a 5-0 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Anchor Bay with their most commanding win of the season.

Anchor Bay's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matches. With that draw, Chippewa Valley's record moves to 3-8-5.
