Volleyball Game Preview: Reedley Pirates vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears + How To Watch

The Reedley Pirates will head out to face off against the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reedley will be strutting in after a victory while Sierra Pacific will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Reedley turned things around against Washington Union on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1.

Reedley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Renae Mireles, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven contests. Bridget Rivas also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Meanwhile, Sierra Pacific came up short against Exeter on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Golden Bears have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Sierra Pacific's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Reedley, their win bumped their record up to 22-12-1.

Reedley was able to grind out a solid victory over Sierra Pacific in their previous matchup on October 1st, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
