Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the LaMoille Lions. The Knights were probably out for revenge after losing 50-47 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

LaMoille was led to victory by Tyler Billhorn and Brayden Klein. Billhorn dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards, while Klein went 7 of 14 on his way to 16 points. What's more, Billhorn also racked up five assists, the most he's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Ed Fry, who posted eight points.

Calvary Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for LaMoille, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10.

Calvary Christian Academy will take on Walther Christian Academy in a tournament on January 4, 2025. As for LaMoille, they and Lowpoint-Washburn will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
