Football Recap: Winneconne Wolves vs. Little Chute Mustangs
Winneconne gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Little Chute Mustangs by a score of 34-21. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 35-14 loss the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Winneconne can attribute much of their success to Jack Quigley, who picked up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown. Quigley was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 58 yards.
Winneconne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kaden Carder and Jesse Michaud.
Winneconne is taking a road trip to square off against Omro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Little Chute, they will challenge New London at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
