Volleyball Recap: Scout Peterson Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win

Walnut Grove won the last time they faced Cedar Shoals and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 2-0.

Walnut Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Scout Peterson, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Peterson has posted over her last seven contests. Josie Knight also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Walnut Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Kaitlyn Paige and Derriana Smith certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Paige had five kills and one block, while Smith had two aces.

Walnut Grove has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Cedar Shoals, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Walnut Grove has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against East Forsyth on the 9th. As for Cedar Shoals, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Eastside on the 11th.
