West Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sunnyside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. West Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Last Friday, West Valley narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Eastmont 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted against the Wildcats since April 28, 2023.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sunnyside). They came out on top against Davis by a score of 13-9 on Friday.

Fidel Cubie Castro made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Ryker Heeringa was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Trey Castro, who scored two runs while going 1-for-5.

West Valley pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sunnyside, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.

West Valley skirted past Sunnyside 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grizzlies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
