J.R. Rieg gave up the fewest hits he has since back in March of 2024 on Tuesday. He turned in nothing short of a gem, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Trinity is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

Rieg's strong effort led Trinity over Moon Area and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are at an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long.
