Softball Recap: Amsterdam Takes a Loss

Amsterdam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Maple Hill Wildcats, falling 12-4. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Amsterdam's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Maple Hill, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

Amsterdam wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-6 defeat against Salem on the 19th. As for Maple Hill, they have also already played their next match, a 6-3 victory against Voorheesville on the 19th.
