Basketball Game Preview: Slidell Greyhounds vs. Tioga Bulldogs

The Slidell Greyhounds and the Tioga Bulldogs will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Slidell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Slidell is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Era: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Slidell blew Era out of the water with a 75-30 final score. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tioga ended up a good deal behind Lindsay on Tuesday and lost 57-43. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Slidell is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.7 points. As for Tioga, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything came up roses for Slidell against Tioga when the teams last played back in November of 2020, as the team secured a 72-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Slidell since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
