Softball Recap: Traders Point Christian Has No Trouble Against Indianapolis Shortridge

Traders Point Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils with a sharp 16-3 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Traders Point Christian got a massive performance out of Maddie Pierson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Pierson is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Dodson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Traders Point Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indianapolis Shortridge only posted an OBP of .238.

Traders Point Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Traders Point Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-7 defeat against Liberty Christian on the 10th. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they will take on Indianapolis Arsenal Technical at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
