Basketball Recap: Appleton East Takes a Loss

After soaring to 61 points the game before, Appleton East was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Neenah Rockets an easy 53-29 win. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Appleton East is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. As for Neenah, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Appleton East and Onalaska will round out the year against one another at at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Onalaska knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Appleton East likes a good challenge. As for Neenah, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Indian Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Neenah's favor as the team sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Indian Trail has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
