Basketball Recap: Foothill Tech Has No Trouble Against Coastal Christian

Foothill Tech hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They were the clear victor by a 65-43 margin over the Coastal Christian Conquerors on Friday.

Luigirey Guce was the offensive standout of the game as he went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Turner, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Foothill Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Foothill Tech's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Coastal Christian, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Foothill Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-42 defeat against Polytechnic on the 21st. As for Coastal Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-53 loss against Carpinteria on the 21st.
