Softball Recap: East River Takes a Loss

East River came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to the Lake Howell Silverhawks. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Silverhawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Jenna McCormick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

East River's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lake Howell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Looking ahead, East River will square off against Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Timber Creek has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lake Howell, they will take on Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harmony will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lake Howell surely won't give up without a fight.
