Football Game Preview: Douglass Trojans vs. Elk City Elks

The Douglass Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Elk City Elks at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday. Douglass is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Douglass ended up a good deal behind Woodward and lost 21-6. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, while it was Elk City who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Clinton who put up more. The Elks took a 17-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Tornadoes. The defeat continues a trend for the Elks in their meetings with the Red Tornadoes: they've now lost three in a row.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Elk City, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 2-4.

Douglass was taken down by Elk City 42-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
