Preview: Horizon Hawks vs. Tenoroc Titans
The Horizon Hawks are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Tenoroc Titans at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Horizon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Tenoroc likes a good challenge.
Last Monday, Horizon was fully in charge, breezing past Windermere 59-15 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-9.
It was another big night for Sienna Astorino, who scored 8 points along with 7 assists and 7 steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Amaria Mccrimon, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Tenoroc's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-31 walloping at the hands of Lakeland Christian. While losing is never fun, Tenoroc can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Lakeland Christian is ranked 116th).
Their wins bumped Horizon to 4-1 and Windermere to 1-2.
