Volleyball Recap: Amelia Emerson and Zoei Bonner Secure Win for Summertown

With a playoff win on the line, Summertown rose to the challenge on Monday. Everything went their way against the Loretto Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Leading Summertown to victory were Zoei Bonner and Amelia Emerson. Bonner had 33 assists and eight digs, while Emerson had 21 kills and three aces. Emerson has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 43 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Garland, who had seven kills, seven digs, and two aces.

Summertown's victory bumped their record up to 38-8. As for Loretto, their loss dropped their record down to 20-26.

Summertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loretto, they will head out on the road to challenge Merrol Hyde Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
