Basketball Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt an 83-35 defeat at the hands of the Bluffton Bobcats. Ridgeland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-14.

Despite the loss, Ridgeland still got an impressive performance from Hakeem Chaneyfield, who posted 14 points. Jabien Harris was another key player, putting up seven points.

Leading Bluffton to victory were Harrison Skinner and Jamari Manning. Skinner dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 assists, while Manning went 9 of 14 on his way to 22 points along with six assists and five steals. The game was Skinner's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon White, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bluffton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Ridgeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-38 defeat against Colleton County on the 23rd. As for Bluffton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-55 win against Wando on the 20th.
