Yelm won the last time they faced Spanaway Lake and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tornados were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Sentinels. That's two games straight that the Tornados have won by exactly six runs.

The team relied heavily on Wesley Thompson, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Robison, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Yelm always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Yelm is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Spanaway Lake, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
