Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Gets the Win

Jefferson hadn't done well against Delavan-Darien recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles won by a set and slipped past the Comets 3-2. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Jefferson was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Ella Fetherston paced Jefferson's offense, picking up 26 kills. Fetherston got some help from Finley Sikora and her 43 assists. Fetherston was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The win made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 8-8. As for Delavan-Darien, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-8 record.

Coming up, Jefferson will take on Monona Grove at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Delavan-Darien, they will challenge Wilmot at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
