Volleyball Recap: Sunnyslope Vikings vs. Pinnacle Pioneers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sunnyslope can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pinnacle Pioneers on Thursday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.
Leading Pinnacle to victory were Kennedy Melashenko and Kate Hayes. Melashenko had nine digs and one assist, while Hayes had 11 kills and 11 digs. That's the most digs Hayes has posted over her last seven matches.
Sunnyslope's loss dropped their record down to 23-14. As for Pinnacle, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season.
Sunnyslope does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinnacle, they will head out to take on Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
