Softball Recap: Jeffersonville Takes a Loss

Jeffersonville and Seymour squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Jeffersonville had to settle for second. They lost 9-1 to the Owls. The Red Devils' loss continues a trend for the team, making it 11 in a row.

Jeffersonville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Seymour, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Jeffersonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seymour, they will challenge New Albany at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.42 runs per game on average), something the Owls will no doubt try to take advantage of.
