Soccer Game Preview: Princess Anne vs. First Colonial

The Princess Anne Cavaliers will square off against the First Colonial Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Princess Anne is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Ocean Lakes, who was ranked 19th at the time (Princess Anne was ranked 13th). Neither the Cavaliers nor the Dolphins could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result kept Princess Anne happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Meanwhile, First Colonial kept a clean sheet against Salem on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Sundevils 1-0. First Colonial wouldn't have won without Chris Merrill, who scored the game-winner.

First Colonial was without their leading scorer, Johnny Olansen, in Tuesday's game. With Olansen sitting this one out, Rhett Graham got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 54.3).

First Colonial now has a winning record of 4-3-1. With that draw, Princess Anne's record moves to 6-0-4.
