Basketball Game Preview: Ridgecroft Rams vs. Albemarle School Colts

For the first time this season, Ridgecroft will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Albemarle School Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgecroft has given up an average of 59.5 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ridgecroft saw some tournament action last Saturday. They lost 66-44 to Brunswick Academy. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Ridgecroft saw an underclassman step up: freshman Harrison Jones posted 15 points. Jones' big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Williams, who put up eight points.

Meanwhile, Albemarle School took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 68-21 victory over Varsity Opponent.

Ridgecroft's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Albemarle School, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Ridgecroft against Albemarle School when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 84-21 win. In that contest, the Rams amassed a halftime lead of 46-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
