Softball Preview: Silverado Skyhawks vs. Coronado Cougars
Silverado is 0-10 against Coronado since April of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. Silverado will look to defend their home field against Coronado at 3:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Silverado didn't have quite enough to beat Desert Oasis and fell 6-5. The Skyhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jordyn Bunce made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coronado). They were the clear victors by a 22-1 margin over Faith Lutheran on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.
Paisley Magdaleno was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Those doubles were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Lou Tsunis, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI.
Coronado now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Silverado, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
