Cortland has gone a perfect 4-0 against Moravia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Cortland sitting on three straight wins and Moravia on six.
Cortland's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Cazenovia by a score of 3-0.

The result came thanks to Zach Muir's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up 16 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Cortland's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Owen Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with one double.
Meanwhile, Moravia hadn't done well against Union Springs recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Blue Devils blew past the Wolves 9-1. Considering the Blue Devils have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dillon Palmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Carson Andrews was incredible, firing off five RBI, three doubles, and one triple while going 4-for-4. That triple was his first of the season. Hayden Walker was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
Moravia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.
Moravia's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Cortland, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Cortland has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Moravia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Cortland got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Moravia by a conclusive 10-1 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
