Softball Game Preview: Dayton Bulldogs vs. Cranford Cougars

The Dayton Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Cranford Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Dayton's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Cranford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Dayton didn't have quite enough to beat Governor Livingston and fell 3-2. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Cranford had taken Governor Livingston down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Cougars fell 9-6 to the Highlanders. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Cranford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Dayton's way against Cranford in their previous matchup on April 1st, as Dayton made off with an 8-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
