Basketball Recap: Chaney Cowboys vs. Steubenville Big Red
The Chaney Cowboys ended up a good deal behind the Steubenville Big Red on Saturday and lost 64-45. The loss put an end to the Cowboys' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the defeat, Chaney saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyssa Brown went 9-for-22 on her way to 24 points along with five boards and four steals. Brown's afternoon made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Serenity Parker was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.
Nylah McShan was nothing short of spectacular for Steubenville: she dropped a double-double with 25 points and 18 boards. Those 18 rebounds gave McShan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucy Jo Saccoccia, who posted 11 points in addition to six assists and six boards.
