Volleyball Recap: Deltona Takes a Loss

Deltona lost against Seabreeze back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Sandcrabs.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Seabreeze scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.

Loss or not, Deltona got some senior leadership from Kenadie Suarez and Jenah Redmond. Suarez had 17 digs and four assists, while Redmond had 14 assists and 12 digs. Suarez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Lilli Litz was nothing short of spectacular for Seabreeze: she had ten digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave Litz a new career-high.

Deltona now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Seabreeze, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Deltona has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Trinity Christian Academy on the 25th. As for Seabreeze, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Father Lopez on the 26th.
