Basketball Recap: Bulls College Prep Takes a Loss

Bulls College Prep came up into this matchup off a tough 29-point loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers by a score of 26-24 on Thursday. The Bulls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.

Despite the loss, Bulls College Prep saw an underclassman step up: freshman Rihanna Baines posted eight points.

Noble Street College Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tiffany Gaona, who put up four points and ten boards. Gaona is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season. Olivia Moore-Bozeman was another key player, putting up five points and seven boards.

Bulls College Prep dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. That patch can't be blamed on the team's defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Noble Street College Prep, their record now sits at 6-3.
