Volleyball Recap: Fike Falls Short of South Granville in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fike can now relate to. They fell just short of the South Granville Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Golden Demons' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Fike took South Granville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-15, 25-22, 23-25, 15-9.

Larah Preddy was the offensive standout of the match as she had 18 digs and 16 assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in August.

Fike's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for South Granville, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 8-16 record.

Fike does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Granville, they will challenge Cedar Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
