Football Recap: Chula Vista Comes Up Short

Chula Vista extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-5. They lost 31-7 to the Patrick Henry Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 697th, while the Patriots are ranked 302nd).

As for Patrick Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 24 points or more this season.

Patrick Henry found their leader in sophomore Hailey Yin, who picked up six sacks and made six total tackles.

Chula Vista has already played their next contest (against Hilltop), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Patrick Henry, they will challenge Cathedral Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Patriots 14.4, the Dons 9) so any points scored will be well earned.
