Basketball Recap: Mandeville Takes a Loss

Mandeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hammond Tornadoes. That's two games in a row now that the Skippers have lost by exactly three points.

Joseph Carbo was his usual excellent self, as he made all 5 shots he took for 14 points for Hammond. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordin Lewis, who posted six points and five assists.

Mandeville's loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Hammond, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Mandeville has already played their next contest (against St. Thomas Aquinas), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hammond has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Belle Chasse.
