Baseball Game Preview: Ledford Panthers vs. Oak Grove Grizzlies

The Ledford Panthers will face off against the Oak Grove Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ledford will be strutting in after a win while Oak Grove will be coming in after a loss.

Ledford barely beat Montgomery Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Ledford came out on top against Montgomery Central on Friday by a score of 12-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Oak Grove came up short against North Davidson on Friday, falling 10-4. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Black Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Cam Sharpe was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Sharpe wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Murphy, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Oak Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Ledford, they now also have a winning record of 7-6.
