Soccer Game Preview: Greenville vs. Canton

The Greenville Hornets will face off against the Canton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Canton is hoping to do what Provine couldn't on Friday: put an end to Greenville's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Greenville never let Provine onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. The Hornets' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Meanwhile, Canton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past McComb 9-0. The contest marked Canton's most dominant victory of the season.

Canton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matches. As for Greenville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
