Baseball Recap: Friends Takes a Loss

Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the St. Frances Academy Panthers, falling 15-3. The Quakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Friends' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Frances Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Friends will be playing at home against Sts. Peter & Paul at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sabres have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.17 runs per game on average), something the Quakers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Frances Academy, they will face off against Key at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
