Soccer Game Preview: Garinger vs. Independence

Garinger hasn't had much luck against Independence recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out to challenge the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Garinger fell victim to East Mecklenburg and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Eagles. Garinger have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Independence also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Charlotte Catholic on Thursday, falling 9-0. Independence have struggled against Charlotte Catholic recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1.

Garinger couldn't quite get it done against Independence when the teams last played last Wednesday as they fell 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
