Basketball Recap: Wade Hampton Takes a Loss

Wade Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 100-8 loss at the hands of the Riverside Warriors. The game marked the Generals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ella Ray Reeves was Wade Hampton's leading scorer, having posted eight points.

Riverside had a senior duo take command as Elly Trickett went 9 for 11 en route to 21 points and six rebounds and Madison Garrido almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. Thanks to that strong game, Trickett now owns an excellent 45.9% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Kyndal Haroski, who went 8 of 13 to rack up 17 points and three steals.

Wade Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Riverside, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Wade Hampton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-12 defeat against Boiling Springs on the 3rd. As for Riverside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-18 win against Eastside on the 4th.
