Football Recap: Rifle Takes a Loss

Rifle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 47-0 defeat at the hands of the Roosevelt Roughriders. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Roughriders are ranked 18th).

Rifle is taking a road trip to square off against University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. University knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 point or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Rifle likes a good challenge. As for Roosevelt, they will challenge Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
